As Electrical Engineer you ensure the correct execution of the electrical and automation (E&A) part of projects, in line with internal norms and legal regulations. You develop and follow-up engineering services for the plant and support the maintenance (second line technical support) and process technology department (link between process and control equipment).
As Electrical Engineer you lead E&A projects or participate as specialist during the execution of projects. You give input and guard the E&A budget of projects.
and draw up the contract specifications with regard for maximal safety, minimal downtime and optimal performance and life span of machines, in cooperation with Process Technology, Production, Maintenance and Safety departments.

You coordinate (electrical) activities on the construction site during the shutdown/erection phase.
You are proactive in identifying bottlenecks and lack of resources/competences on site, and this for different domains (cabling, automation, drives, …)
You follow up and participate in the commissioning of the projects.

You define the network layout for process networks and the interface to the plant network in cooperation with IT.
You define check-lists of new installed safety systems to guarantee optimal safety.
You optimize performance of installations (e.g. roller tables, AGC controller after tapering passes, …).
